To the Milwaukee, Downtown

By Jacob Riyeff

once you had banks,
not these tall steel ribs

Jacob Riyeff (@riyeff) is a translator, poet, and scholar of medieval literature. His work focuses on the western contemplative tradition and the natural world. Jacob grew up near the banks of the Rock River, and currently lives on Milwaukee’s Lower East Side, just up the hill from the Milwaukee River as it enters downtown.
